We went for a drive this weekend and were on our way home. The kids had finished a nap and were up and playing. Ariel was looking at her "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening" picture book. She is absolutely obsessed with horses and loves this picture book for the pictures of the horse pulling the sleigh. So she is looking at the book and chanting "Happy Face neigh-neigh" over and over again in a cheerful voice. Then she switched to this like cross between death metal/evil chucky doll voice and growls "Happy face neigh-neigh!" a couple times. I looked back at her and she stopped and looked at me with this fearful look and exclaimed "I don't LIKE that song!"
I laughed so hard I cried.

- I used to homeschool and loved it. Hence the name of this blog. However, I have decided to go back to college full time and give the public school system a try. So far it is not too bad, though it doesn't mean I will never homeschool again. Trevor is in 4th grade, Rachael's in 2nd and Ariel starts K this year. I spend my time studying, volunteering, volunteering some more, chillin with the kids, hanging with my husband, and attending various child sporting events. Oh, and tasting good beer. I'm a total beer snob. And a coffee snob. And probably a bit of a food snob. I'm not above PBR and 5 guys, though. ;) We share our tiny townhome with two cats- Chaos and Shadow, a house pony (ok, newfie)- Reznor, gerbils- Clooney and Matthias, a hermit crab- Bullet, a Betta and a few guppies.
